Fun Guy & Fungi

soft fuchsia cardigan, grey dress with metallic embellishment, black stockings

I wore this to go out for breakfast with the fellow I mentioned yesterday. Our rendezvous point was a quirky little cafe in San Rafael. He described the decor by saying, "I think they watched too much John Waters." We already have a second date planned: Sharknado at his place. I'm excited! Doubly so because I love stupid movies.

Today was misty and wet, so a bunch of little mushrooms popped up in the grass:

Speaking of mushrooms, I want this shadowbox from Gabrielle Peck's shop:

  1. Yay glad it went well hun, and that part two is planned! Loving the pink/black/gray combo here. Fem and chic, but still an edge of quirk. Oh and stupid movies are the best. Braindead by Peter Jackson BEFORE Lord of the Rings is one of the best things ever.

  3. Love the outfit, *and* the mushrooms (both real and artistic) :-)

I really like loose jersey dresses and cardigans and leggings - by my metrics, this outfit is rogueworthy!

    1. Thank you! Y'know, you're right--this would be a better-than-average ensemble for cave exploration.

  5. What a cute date it sounds like you had! My friends love to get together and watch the Sharknado game because of one of the drinking games that goes along with it!

    1. They've also held up amazingly well in the washing machine! I've only lost one, and that's after literal years.

The mushrooms are too adorable! One of my favorite things to do during the summer is mushroom hunting!

  11. Sharknado was so ridiculous. I laughed so hard at the end of it.
Also you look so cute here. I love your pink sweater with that gray dress. The detailing at the top of the dress is really neat too.
