Fun Guy & Fungi
I wore this to go out for breakfast with the fellow I mentioned yesterday. Our rendezvous point was a quirky little cafe in San Rafael. He described the decor by saying, "I think they watched too much John Waters." We already have a second date planned: Sharknado at his place. I'm excited! Doubly so because I love stupid movies.
Today was misty and wet, so a bunch of little mushrooms popped up in the grass:
Speaking of mushrooms, I want this shadowbox from Gabrielle Peck's shop:

Yay glad it went well hun, and that part two is planned! Loving the pink/black/gray combo here. Fem and chic, but still an edge of quirk. Oh and stupid movies are the best. Braindead by Peter Jackson BEFORE Lord of the Rings is one of the best things ever.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marie! And clearly I need to put that movie on my to-watch list :D
DeleteI love that lovely pink colour the those little mushrooms are so cute!

Thank you! I really like little mushrooms too :3
DeleteLove the outfit, *and* the mushrooms (both real and artistic) :-)
ReplyDeleteI really like loose jersey dresses and cardigans and leggings - by my metrics, this outfit is rogueworthy!
Thank you! Y'know, you're right--this would be a better-than-average ensemble for cave exploration.
DeleteBeautiful textures in the dress <3 The pink really brightens up the outfit!

Thank you, Anna! I do love me some pink.
DeleteWhat a cute date it sounds like you had! My friends love to get together and watch the Sharknado game because of one of the drinking games that goes along with it!
ReplyDeleteWell I'm gonna go look up those drinking games now. . . =P Thanks, Alissa!
DeleteToo much John Waters? Sounds like fun decor to me!
ReplyDeleteHaha, right? I actually quite liked it. Very whimsical. They had board games glued to the ceiling.
Deletewoop woop! glad to hear it went well! i love this little grey dress w/ the pink cardi, a great date outfit if i do say.
ReplyDeleteThank you, my dear!
Deleteoh and i looooooove the little mushrooms popping up, that is like the coolest thing that can happen over here in the desert haha.and your pic is gorgeous of 'em.
ReplyDeleteI feel SO bad when I step on them accidentally, haha. They're just so precious! & thank you again :)
DeleteI think I'm fixating on the dress studs. Such a perfect and yet understated detail that gives the whole outfit definition. Also, mushrooms!
ReplyDeleteThey've also held up amazingly well in the washing machine! I've only lost one, and that's after literal years.
DeleteWhat a cute outfit! Your clothes look very soft, too.
ReplyDeleteThe mushrooms are too adorable! One of my favorite things to do during the summer is mushroom hunting!
They were in fact very soft! Do you eat the mushrooms you hunt?
DeleteSharknado was so ridiculous. I laughed so hard at the end of it.
ReplyDeleteAlso you look so cute here. I love your pink sweater with that gray dress. The detailing at the top of the dress is really neat too.
Thank you! Yes, Sharknado was definitely a gem. I can see myself rewatching it a few times.
DeleteI love the mushroom pics! I collect and try to identify mushrooms when it isn't winter! I'm jealous you have mushrooms there now. Hope the second date goes well too btw!!!
