Chin Up
Today I saw my ex again. We lounged around on the UC Berkeley campus, kicking back in the sunny grass. And, of course, we ended up hashing out all the reasons why we shouldn't get back together but want to anyway. He invited me to go camping with him for Valentine's Day, which would be fantastically fun, but is probably a bad idea. When I relayed this dilemma to my mom, she gave me a look and said, "How would that not be getting back together?" Touche. So, despite my cheery countenance in these photos, I'm a bit bummed out.
Book of the moment: The Best American Science Writing 2009. Yeah, I'm a bit late to the party with this one--five years late, in fact. But I have really enjoyed the essays so far. Straight science bores me, but when you add in a human element, it's as good as a Michael Crichton thriller! Oh wait, that's exactly what a Michael Crichton thriller is... (I read three more immediately after finishing Jurassic Park.)
Spoon-handle bracelet feat. loose threads in my sweater.
I wanted to also wear lipstick, but my lips are tragically chapped. Tragically, I tell you!

You look radiant today, Sonya! (Not like you don't look radiant all the time!) Thinking of new compliments because the other ones are overused. :P
ReplyDeleteI hope everything turns out for the best! Only you know what is right for you.
Hehe, thank you! That's kind of a relief because I really wasn't satisfied with these photos. *Bob Marley plays* Every little thing, is gonna be alright~
DeleteI'm not an expert with Les affaires du coeur- talking here about your ex - When over better be over for good - There were good reasons to break up and there will be another good reason to break up again, probably a better reasonthan the first time around - You are young, there're will be plenty of other guys trust me!
ReplyDeleteLove the bracelet, i have seen rings but never a bracelet made out of spoons!
Cheer up girl! the sun is shinning and you live in sunny California, i'm in snow and wind up to my ears here!
Ariane xo
You are so right! Thank you, Ariane!
DeleteThank you! Yeah, it's definitely hard. But it helps to get support from my family and people like you <3
ReplyDeleteThat on again off again stuff is the WORST!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that!
DeleteAs much as I love your flirty blue skirt (and they way you're totally rocking it, because you are) you're eyeshadow is killer. Love what you're doing there. Purple is so you.
ReplyDeleteAlso, your mom is right, right, right.
Thank you! And indeed she is. Frustratingly, my mom is always right.
DeletePURPLE FTW! I need to start doing more eyeshadow...you have inspired me!
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit, especially the colour in that skirt!
As for the ex, if you really like him as a person, I'd just focus on seeing if you can be friends for now. The camping trip is most definitely an invitation to more than camping :-P
Hooray for purple! And yeah, I turned down the offer.
