Sipping
Another round of grainy indoor photos. Coincidentally, I'm wearing the same sweater as last time. Although perhaps having selected a really cozy cardigan for a chilly day is correlated with not wanting to go outside...
My cup contained a little bit of coffee and a lot bit of Dagoba drinking chocolate (which is different from regular hot cocoa in zero ways). Basically: super rich mocha. Yum.
This is a good coffee mug, but it's not my favorite. Luckily, one of the cool things about life is that you can enjoy many different objects and/or experiences to varying degrees, and no reaction has to detract from any other! I'm in a cheery mood :)
Therapy was highly productive today. We worked on processing irritation. It's hard (at least for me) to discharge negative emotions without turning them inward. As usual, the conclusion was, "Be kind to yourself." Most mental health lessons end with that.

I think being kind of yourself is really something that everyone needs to learn. That and being kind in general.
ReplyDeleteAmen.
DeleteI think the reason that most mental health lessons end with 'being kind to yourself', is that the solutions are really that. It's the dang brain that's so inconveniently complicated, and keeps getting in the way ;-) Shame you can't take the brain out and give it a good shake/airing from time to time, actually...
ReplyDeleteSeriously. I would like to shake out my brain sometimes.
