Rectangles
Oops, overexposure! I let too much light into the camera. Anyway, this Mata Traders "Edie" dress is quickly becoming one of my favorites, a go-to garment. It's very comfortable, and the intriguing pattern is stylistically self-sufficient. (Read my original review here.) However, surprisingly, the intrinsic ease of wearing this dress is a problem: how can I have fun putting together an outfit when anything but the simplest combo sets off my aesthetic alarms? I played it safe with a yellow sash, which is fairly neutral, but changes the silhouette and provides a little contrast.
Lately I've been using the treadmill desk often, "watching" a lot of Bones (actually just listening 'cause it's too gross to look at the screen), and baking banana bread for days. Today specifically I drove my neighbor around and then obsessively semi-organized my Flickr account. Creative Commons, baby, open for business!

That is a cute dress! As fun as it is to put outfits together, It's nice to have options that don't require a lot of planning. I have a flickr too! Although I have a bad habit of neglecting it :p I'll follow you!
ReplyDeleteI'll follow you back! Yeah, it's good to have easy options.
DeleteLately I've been wearing a lot of the same stuff, too. Can't beat the familiar comforts of a tried and true dress or set of clothes that work well.
ReplyDeleteAin't that the truth.
DeleteYou have a new dress that you love. You're enjoying a new dress that you love. Enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteThe overexposure is a nice effect.
You're so practical!

DeleteThis dress really has such a cool pattern. I really like how it looks belted like this! It changes up the silhouette a lot.
ReplyDeleteAlso I need a treadmill desk! How cool is that!
