Trina Merry Bodypainting
Trina Merry incorporates human forms into her artscapes, or maybe she builds around them, exploring the boundaries of our physical and conceptual selves. Merry seems to prefer working with women (or at least people whose bodies have been categorized as "female" by society).
Trina Merry's pieces are necessarily in a constant state of disruption. The meticulous cohesiveness of each presentation is fractured when the model moves or even shifts slightly. Her breath alone will betray the illusion of a static canvas.

They're all lovely, but I feel bad for the models. It's evident that the makeup took a long time to apply, some of these women have their hands up and are in uncomfortable positions. I imagine their limbs went numb.
ReplyDeleteI hope they got paid well! It does look extremely uncomfortable.
