The Feel Of The Fabric
Recently I explored the vintage section of Farfetch for the first time, and found plenty to want without having to look beyond dresses. (But of course I didn't actually stop there. Coming soon: a post on trousers!) To provide balance, there's also this creation:

The dresses you chose have a distinct architecture to their lines. You really gravitate towards dresses that have structure and play with the feminine silhouette. The final aubergine wool dress really nails it. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteAs I mentioned before, your insight always lends new perspective! Yeah, I really like the swoopy pocket on that dress. Also really like the word "aubergine".
DeleteYou could call it 'radiant orchid' if you'd like, but that's not nearly as much fun.
DeleteAubergine kicks radiant orchid's butt every time!
DeleteTime to go exploring! =D
ReplyDeleteThat black dress with the tassel thingies is fantastic!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish there was a picture of her spinning in it!
Deletethis is absolutely something i never think of, but what a cool post!! i love that all the fabrics look like they'll feel so diff & get me thinking more about the feels, which i actually care about so much in real life since some fabrics itch me, but never think about until i put something on.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of the big determinations when I'm shopping! There are some fabrics I just won't buy. I prefer heavier, natural fabrics to polyester/etc.
DeleteThat 'whump!' noise was me passing out in front of my computer when I saw that INDESCRIBABLY AWESOME blue coat.
ReplyDeleteThe second 'whump!' was me finding the price of it :-P
I want that thing so badly - there is ten-commandments-grade coveting going on over here right now. You are a terrible person for showing it to me, but I love you for showing it to me! :-D
Haha, I'm sorry and you're welcome!
