Get Go Good

striped purple cardigan, black pashmina

Today involved waaay too many U-turns. I'm accustomed to navigational woes because of my appalling spatial awareness, but this was ridiculous. I drove to the Albany Bulb in the morning and an auto-repair shop in the afternoon, both of which I've been to before, and got lost twice. (Just so you know, I'm also bad at parking.)

Another exciting event was that two of our bunnies escaped from the backyard. A slat in the fence got loose, and they happily bounced out to explore. Rabbits generally don't like to be picked up, and if you reach down to grab 'em they'll run, so the process of chasing + catching was literally touch-and-go. Luckily my dad managed to nab one and I lured the other into a carrier with lettuce. Doof and Pumpkin are now safely back in their enclosure.

  1. Haha! I love their names. I can understand Pumpkin, but what does Doof mean? (It's cute)
    You look beautiful :)

    1. Thank you, Danielle! Doof is short for Dr. Doofenshmirtz, who is the silly and incompetent villain on Phineas & Ferb

  2. I had an amazing movie playing in my head just now of you and your dad running round after the rabbits, slightly sped-up, to the tune of yakety sax. :-D

Please tell me it happened that way in real life, too? Please? I have always wanted to 'witness' a true yakety sax moment...

    1. That's actually probably not too far off! It wasn't a dignified chase, that's for sure.

  3. The bunnies themselves are even cuter! ;P

People will be like, "I'm at blah blah blah intersection a couple miles from your house, give me directions," and I'm like, "....." I only know how to go places I've already driven a thousand times, haha

    1. Thank you! Luckily they're not scared of us, just reluctant to be handled. That helps.

  5. So glad the bunnehs evib genius plot to escape was foiled by lettuce and everyone is safe.

Having said that, were you followed? Did anyone snap your picture? Are you certain a photograph of you getting your car done won't show up in NARA decades from now.
