Pink & Green
I really like how the hem of my tank top and the top of my skirt come together before the silk falls over my hips. There's something about a defined waist that makes me feel so feminine. Of course, that reaction is just social conditioning based on evolutionary sexual selection. I don't know whether to be depressed or comforted when I remember how much of my behavior is defined by biology (read: all of it). Anyway, it's fun to wear garden colors!

Honestly my first thought was that you looked like a princess!
ReplyDeleteYour feelings concerning the inevitable realization that we are largely influenced by millions of years of evolved characteristics is something that I can relate to. I feel the best when I am looking my best, which usually equals showing off my figure in some way. I am not looking actively looking for a mate (already have a wonderful one), but there is this inherent sense of feeling like I look my best when revealing the curves. Makes you wonder... but if it makes you feel good about yourself, then all the merrier!
Yup. Might as well embrace the feeling! (Semi-pun semi-intended =P)
DeleteLike a cat in sunshine, you look like you're purring.
ReplyDeleteDo you think flowers are happy because they know they are pretty?
*rumbles* I really hope that flowers are happy :)
DeletePretty <3
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be depressed that behaviour is defined by biology. :-) Remember, you're allowed to like/feel good about a defined waist, regardless of whether lots of other people do too because of biology, stuff and things. Also remember that because behaviour *is* biology (brain structure, neurotransmitters and all that jazz), you can't really spearate the two enough to make it worth worrying about! At least, that's my way of looking at it when I get mired in concerns like the ones you mention. :-)
Exactly. Thank you, Syl :)
