Feather Leaves
I am so happy to be home! As soon as I arrived, the first thing I did was sit down at the dining room table (with Law & Order playing on my laptop) and consume a gigantic meal. It was glorious. I ate sparsely on the train, although I did have a bit of dried mango and day-old French fries. After assuaging my hunger and doing some work on my computer, I went to therapy. Then I took Button, the neighbor's dog, for a walk. It is so great to get $10 for hanging out with a nice dog. Then I took my own dog for a walk, and now, as I type this, I'm sitting in my backyard while two of my rabbits munch on lettuce and the other two frolic boisterously. Hopefully the next time I get gloomy, I'll think about how pleased I am right this minute.
So, new dress: I won a giveaway on Bon Marche Couture (the blog) and got to pick out some stuff from Bon Marche Couture (the shop). The other item I selected was a dreamy rose dress, but if I were choosing again, I would be sorely tempted by a springtime sundress that totally wouldn't fit me. Anyway, it took me a while to wear this blue house dress because it needed extensive repairs, and I'm lazy. I finally mended it while watching The Unit with my parents.
Awkward stain-covering embroidery. I might need to add more, on the sleeve cuffs (not pictured, obviously).

I'm glad you had one of those "happy" moments that you can keep with you in case you don't feel so happy later! You also look gorgeous in that dress! :D
ReplyDeleteGreat dress! Glad you made it home safe and sound.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSo glad you won the giveaway because both dresses are super cute. I especially like the neckline in this. Glad you made it home safe and happy xo
ReplyDeleteThank you darlin!
DeleteWhat a cute dress! Watching rabbits frolic around is so wonderfully entertaining. :)
ReplyDeleteYes indeed :) Thank you!
DeleteHooray for more blue! :-D I think it's a really good idea to save up those nice moments to replay for yourself when you're feeling down :-) Imagining nice things is all well and good, but it's so much more powerful when you know it actually happened to you and you actually felt that good :-)
ReplyDeleteVery true :) You are wise, Miss Rogue.
DeleteI stupidly like your handsewen accents and think there should be more, for design and such. I think you gave the office dress a whole new look and I like it. It's kinda funky now. It needs some sort of a belt, but I think you're on to something great. Don't stop.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yup, it's a work in progress :)
