I am in Portland! My host-mom gave me these boots, which she wore while traipsing around Europe back in the day. I put them on immediately.
So anyway, yup, I'm here. With typically heinous timing--bodies are so annoying--I think I might be coming down with something. I woke up with a headache and a woozy feeling that hasn't departed. It could also be the product of spending 20 hours on a train without adequate snacks (although I gorged myself on Cuban food at dinner last night so I should be recovered), sleeping in a cat-filled house (I'm tragically allergic), missing a dose of my medication, etc... Hopefully it's one of those and not a more enduring affliction.
Hehe, maybe you over-gorged on that Cuban food ;-) I know if I eat a bit too well, then I don't sleep right, and wake up feeling like you described. If that's the case, my usual mainstay is a nice diet of fruit and water till I feel better!
ReplyDeleteCat allergies are also almost certainly a thing. I sympathise - I am allergic to house dust...which means I am mildly allergic to *everywhere*, and very allergic to places with lots of general dust, including animal dust. You must imagine how sneezy catacombs get - plays havoc with your stealth modifiers...
Ha, they're definitely a thing! Like, I'm legitimately allergic to cats. I hope the cave-crawlers don't get you while you're sneezing...

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, this probably means we can never get closer than 5 feet to each other. With four cats, it's a never-ending battle. And frankly, I waved the white flag long ago. I accept that I'll always be covered in bits of fur. I'm so sorry you're allergic. Cat babies are sweet.
I know, it's such a bummer =( I really like cats. I do still pet them and consort with their people friends, but I have to take antihistamines and wash my hands a lot.
