Dolce Far Niente
I am very dissatisfied with my current scanner situation! Anyway, as you might know, collage is one of my hobbies. It's fun to dabble digitally, but I prefer scissors and a glue stick. There is something very soothing about the process; in fact I've written about collage as DIY art therapy. In this case, I pasted magazine bits and a stamp over a card from my penpal. The painting is Dolce Far Niente by John William Godward. This is ostensibly related to #fashun because you can get the look! Via Etsy:
Click each picture to be taken to the listing, as usual. Alternate dresses: 1 & 2. Alternate scarves: 1, 2, & 3.
Feel free to check out two other recent collages if you're interested!

I've never really made a collage before, it seems like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteIt's great! You should try it out!
DeleteShe is dreaming of FOREVER (stamps). Also, I feel like the lines you added, should belong there. I'm not suggesting you deface a painting, but just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I love forever stamps! So I can relate to that dream.
DeleteShe encapsulates perfectly how I feel today about writing my thesis. Not quite rocking back and forward in the foetal position, but certainly on the floor, curled up, staring blankly into space...
ReplyDeleteAww, *sends love*
DeleteThanks :-)
DeleteOh that orange dress!
ReplyDeleteI know, right? I want it!
