Distinct Light
I didn't consider this until I looked at the files on my computer, but a bright white cardigan presents somewhat of a photographic challenge. Still, shooting today was fun. I played with the settings. At this point I can fiddle confidently enough that it's enjoyable instead of stressful. Anyway, the perfectionist in me wants to try for a more consistent set of photos to use instead of these. My inner lazy slob is beating up the perfectionist. My inner lazy slob is disturbingly strong and vicious.
Completely unrelated but too beautiful not to post, this Christian Lacroix coat:
Actually don't because dang is that ever expensive, but, y'know, in principle.

Very cute color, and I love your lipstick!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's a dark copper Mary Kay lipstick that my aunt gave me.
DeleteI remember trying to photograph a white dress in the snow and that was just almost impossible, ha. You look lovely in this lighting though! And nothing wrong with having the lazy side take over from time to time. Makes things easier. ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, I don't know if I'd even try! Thanks, Jen :)
DeleteI feel you about shooting a white outfit. It can be a pain and it's difficult to do on your own because manual mode is really the way to go. Sometimes I use less than perfect photos too so it's all good! I don't think these turned out bad at all though.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jamie! Yeah, I do a lot of running back and forth from the tripod.
DeleteI know well the call of the vicious inner lazy slob. She's pretty insistent and pretty terrifying at times! I silence her with biscuits and tea while I try to do work. Especially biscuits.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea. I might have to employ that technique.
DeleteDon't care - cardigan looks heavenly. Whatever magical wrangling of pixels you did worked. You are lovely. Cardigan is made of win and so are you.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I can't hear Lacroix without thinking of Absolutely Fabulous!
Thank you! I totally love the phrase "wrangling of pixels" :D
