Rainbow

pink cashmere sweater, blue denim shorts, fleece-lined burgundy leggings

Sometimes I wish my style were more sophisticated, but it just isn't.

I've been in kind of a funk over the past few days. Too much driving, reading a sad book with a sad context, and then watching Thelma and Louise with my dad. Good movie, but almost equally as sad as the book I was reading. At least Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis were both excellent. And aren't they cute together?

Anyway, now I'm reading Longitude, so things are looking up.

Lotta DIY in one outfit.

rainbow-and-black circle scarf

I kinda hated this scarf when I first made it, but the enmity has faded.

burgundy leggings, lavender socks, black shoes

I really liked the above color combination, like, a lot. And oops, you can see the indent of my socks under my leggings.

  2. Thelma and Louise are the best, but that movie can be a bit of a bummer! Love the little heart on your sweater.

    1. I particularly loved Louise, even though I thought she was a bit too mean to Thelma. And thank you--I sewed it on to cover a stain!

  3. I wish I could pull off the leggings/shrots combo as well as you do, but somehow it never seems quite right on me! :-D Perhaps I just need to try different lengths of shorts/thicknesses of leggings. You know. For Science.

  6. I'm seriously diggin' all the DIY in this post! I also like the shorts + tights combo a lot (never tried it myself... will have to remedy soon).
Thelma & Louise is such a fantastic movie. What they do at the end of the movie seems romantic to me, though it is incredibly sad. BFFs for lyfe... literally!

  9. Ahh so this is one of my favorite outfits of yours, I gotta say. I'm a sucker for reds and burgundies, and those tights are to die for. And that sweater is so precious, like I can't handle it.
