Topped Off

super cool kid with backwards cap

To quote a great man, "All you sucka MCs ain't got nothin' on me!" Nah, I would be a terrible rapper.

Anyway, I rarely wear hats, but this one came in handy because it was absurdly nice out today. Warm sunlight and everything! (Sorry, polar vortex victims. Is that still going on?)

brown cap with rhinestones

I'm not sure about those rhinestones. I might try to DIY some other decoration.

lavender floral smock dress, burgundy leggings, navy blue long sleeve shirt

This outfit ended up having a really little-kid-esque vibe, but that's okay.

  2. I have a hat very similar to that one! Brown suede newsboy cap :-) Doesn't have the rhinestones, though. I'll be interested to see what you do do if you go the DIY route!

    1. Thank you for saying "newsboy cap", because I couldn't remember if that was the right name or not, haha =P I want to change it, but I can't think of how. Suggestions would be welcome!

  3. Hahaha, I love your pose in the first photo! It's fun dressing up in a non-mature way sometimes. I like to bust out my Hello Kitty onesie some cold nights.

Also, the polar vortex thing is definitely not a problem Alaska is having. The temperature was in the 40s today with some rain. The ice and snow on the streets is completely gone, but the sidewalks are a shiny sheet of ice that is almost impossible to walk on!

    1. I am SO JEALOUS that you have a Hello Kitty onesie! Sorry about your ice =/

  4. Like Danielle said, no polar vortex for us, its more of a pineapple express right now. (so much ice, I almost had to break out the cleats today and I've used those maybe two times since I've moved from Seward.). I have to agree, i really like this jumper(or whatever they're called now a days.). You've gotten quite a bit of wear out of it! And being a hat person, any outfit with a hat is endearing. :). And no worries, most people make awful rappers!

    1. Hahaha, "most people make awful rappers"--ain't that the truth! Unfortunately not enough of them realize it. I'll try to channel a Katie vibe and feel more comfortable with hats :)

    1. I do approve of rhinestones on principle. Maybe I'll relocate them!

  6. Adorables! I think I heart your floral jumper more than anything I've seen you wear. So fresh and pretty. Why not dress like a tyke? They always have the best clothing anyway.

Thoroughly frigid and windy, not a flake of snow. Brrrr!

    1. So true. Kids get all the best colors and cool animal patterns. I hope you either do or don't get snow, according to whichever you prefer!

  7. Too cute! Kids get all the best clothing anyways. I used to work in a kids clothing store and every time we got new stock in I would get really mad that I'm a giant.

  8. I just died. That first picture has literally made my day. Please make a rap video. It'll go viral in an instant, I'm certain.

The pattern mixing is so great in this. Polka dots and flowers; I LOVE. I know pattern mixing is supposed to be one of those fashion no-nos, but it's one I break constantly and revel in seeing in other people. You're such a rock star.

    1. Lol, but how can I compete with Kevin G?! I also revel in pattern-mixing--"revel" is the perfect word!
