I like this dress a lot, but it has an awkward tendency to cling to my thighs. Also, I want you to pretend that I am wearing different shoes. My burgundy-ish Mary Janes just aren't cutting it. I love them, which is why they're all scuffed up, but they don't match my cardigan! Anyway, the past few days have been spent watching Rules of Engagement and crafting madly to get everything done by Christmas. I'm stymied by the person who stumps me every year: my mom. As they say, what can you get for the women who
Sorry about the affected melancholic glamor poses. I can't resist.
Love the cardigan! & Those colour block heels are so cute!

Thank you! Yeah, I really want those shoes, haha.
DeleteI usually have the same clinging issue or a dress will just ride up between my thighs, resulting in a completely awkward situation! I googled it one day out of desperation, and it turns out that a slip is apparently the answer to my problem. Seems right? Haven't tried it yet!
ReplyDeleteI like that you matched your socks and headband. Unexpected but completely satisfactory :D
I'm glad someone noticed the matching headband + socks! I found it satisfying too.
DeleteI do wear a slip sometimes, but I only have one and it's too long for this dress. Blurgh.
The dress is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThere's a giveaway on my blog, in case you're interested :)

Thank you!
DeleteSuch a cute dress! I know what you mean about the clinging though...I mean, rogues tend to wear quite tight fitting clothes, but sometimes there are pieces that just aren't supposed to cling, that do...
ReplyDeleteDamn static-y fabrics! (Or static-y thighs?) :-)
#RogueProblems, haha. Whether it's fabric or thighs, damn them!
DeleteI did come up with something, but I can't divulge details until after the 25th, because my mom reads this blog! And I know that exact experience, though, haha.
ReplyDeleteI am so about the ruffle detailing on that dress! I usually wear bike shorts under my dresses, and I have the same problem. Wearing a slip does really help.
ReplyDeleteI better get my hands on some more slips! I love the ruffles too--they're the reason I bought the dress.
DeleteHaha that's how I feel trying to buy presents for my dad. He's so hard to shop for because he has pretty much anything he wants that I could actually afford.
ReplyDeleteBut anyway, this outfit is so cute. I actually think your burgundy mary janes look great with that pink cardigan!
My dad too! But I have an easier time thinking of cute personalized things to give him. And thank you!
DeleteSuper cute ruffle dress <3 Great shoes!
