Belle Boring

OOTD 12/17/2013

My favorite thing about this outfit was the sort of flapper-esque silhouette. I initially considered adding a belt to define my waist, but then I was like, "Nah." SCINTILLATING, I KNOW! In other news that's totally interesting, I swear, today's most noteworthy activity was reading an absurd amount of the beauty blog that I mentioned earlier.

The above photo doesn't properly demonstrate either of the things I wanted it to. 1) Green eyeshadow galore! 2) The necklace is shaped like a perfume bottle. I'm trying to get back into wearing perfume on a daily basis, because it's weirdly satisfying to have a "signature scent".

  1. That necklace! Eek - so cute. And I'm more than jealous of seeing you not in tights/thick coats. Oh California weather, how I envy you!

    1. Thank you! The necklace was a score, in a way, because my sister bought it to give to a friend, but for some reason that didn't work out and I got it instead. And yeah, California rocks!

  2. Haha.. I dunno. A belt could have been cute, but this style looks more bohemian without it. I like it. Super casual and chic. Great colors!

    1. Thank you! I may try redoing this outfit with a belt at some point. That's a nice thing about clothes--you can wear them a bunch of times! Haha.

  3. I know what you mean about it being satisfying to have a signature scent. Hopefully one day I'll find mine, but any perfumes I try out never seem quite right! Like, they smell good but they're not completely "me" if that makes any sense.

    1. Absolutely. I actually feel that way about the perfumes that I have right now, but I kinda want to use them anyway, because otherwise they'll go to waste, y'know? In the meantime I'll keep searching. . .
