"The hills are aliiive, with the sound of muuusic!" Just kidding. Today my jam was actually "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair" from South Pacific. Or maybe I should say it's Ani DiFranco, since that's what they're playing in the cafe right now. I do love me some angsty Ani.
Now I wanna talk about cosmetics! I decided to forego eye makeup today, since I wore a ton both yesterday and the day before. (I also like being able to rub my eyes.) Frequent mascara use is taxing to my wimpy lashes. Anyway, I opted for eyebrow pencil + lipstick instead, and I really like how it worked out. I only recently started paying attention to eyebrows, so it still amazes me how much they can shape your face. I especially enjoy the contrast between my light hair and dark brows. And then lipstick is always my favorite--it's my go-to face brightener.

As for the clothes: I've been having a hard time transitioning this dress from warm weather to autumn's chill. The problem is those voluptuous sleeves--they bunch up under cardigans or sweaters. Solution? Put the long sleeves UNDER the dress! I don't know why it only just occurred to me to reverse the order of the layers.

Although I've started getting satisfactory results with the tripod and remote, there's nothing like a good old-fashioned selfie.
Love the grey floral dress with the addition of the cute bow! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

ReplyDeleteThis outfit is so quirky! I love it! (totally laughed about the reversing of layers! i can be derpy like that too)
ReplyDeleteI've had the same song from South Pacific stuck in my head recently, too! (and it's been two years since I saw the performance, haha)
I agree with you about eyebrows, it is amazing how they frame a face and just how much they can change a face. Yours look lovely!
