Karen suggested a roundup of cute panties, and I was like, "Okay!" Yup, that's the entire backstory. Unfortunately, browsing undies is a bummer because 99.99% of the models are really thin and pale. Can we plzzz get some diversity up in here?! Anyway, I decided to focus on artisanal, US-made, or fair-trade options (although one pair is merely organic).

Hi Sonya! I found your blog via Leah at Style Wise, and I really enjoy your daily posts. The Ryan Gosling panties cracked me up (Hey Girl!), but it is so hard to find ethically made underwear. Thank you for posting these links. I hadn't considered trying Etsy for my unmentionables. :)
ReplyDeleteReally glad you enjoy them! =D
DeleteOmg the Ryan Gosling panties. The first are my favorites, but his face is a close competitor.
ReplyDeleteIKR? I just about died.
DeleteI love the ones with the heart on the butt. Not that Ryan Gosling panties aren't incredibly practical.
ReplyDeleteNow we need to see the two designs combined! =D
DeleteThey're all so cute!
ReplyDeletecute is what we aim for :3
DeleteCute underwear are the best and this post just reminds me how sad my underwear are looking these days. Time for new ones - though I can't spend $45 on a pair of underwear despite them being awesome. Those red heart butt ones are my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI know right?! I'm in the same boat. If only money did grow on trees :(
DeleteI was wearing "granny panties" regularly until one day I walked into the Aerie store and realized that just because it will go underneath my clothes, doesn't mean it can't be pretty.
ReplyDeleteThat Ryan Gosling underwear tickles me. I would totally wear a pair of Benedict Cumberbatch underwear.
Noooo I'm not gonna lie, the idea of Benedict Cumberbatch panties horrifies me. But to each their own, I suppose. Regardless of taste, hooray for pretty underwear! Tbh I care more about comfort, but both is best.
DeleteHahaha! Even though your opinion about BC undies is the complete opposite of mine, I couldn't help but physically burst out laughing at the way it's worded.
DeleteGlad I could make you laugh! =D
DeleteHey Girl.
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous. I love what you did with this. Plus, the pdf is pretty awesome. I've never been tempted to make my own granny panties (Bloomers, yes.), but those look very cool. I would totally wear them.
I know, right? I'm really tempted to try it out but elastic intimidates me.
DeleteDefinitely agree on the need for models who aren't the 'typical' type! I think retro and vintage underwear models are going some way to addressing this but it should be more widespread in mainstream lingerie!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that! I agree completely!
