California Poppies
Those orange blooms are California's state flower, the creatively-named California poppy. They grow everywhere, but I particularly associate them with hikes along the coast.
My hair is now long enough to put in a tiny ponytail! I can't wait for my bangs grow out completely so that they will also fit. That will be an exciting day, which tells you something about the average level of excitement in my life...
This ensemble is sort of a lounge outfit, consisting of a minty striped tank-top that I wore to Paris a few years back, and the loose black pants that I go running in. Favorite thing about the tank-top: reversed stripes on the pockets. The pattern and color feel whimsical to me, even elfish, along the lines of A Midsummer Night's Dream. I should note that I've always been much more Peaseblossom than Titania.

Ponytails are OSSUM. That is all. :-)
ReplyDeleteHa! I love that spelling. Thanks! :-*
DeleteI love poppies! I don't see them very often here. And there's nothing wrong with getting excited over little things. Especially ponytails! :D
ReplyDeleteHooray for ponytails! That's what I should have named this post, haha. You are such a sweetheart, Sarah.
DeleteI think you've photographed at that rock before, only it was festooned with different flowers. It's rather lovely to watch the seasons change.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct! Yes, the cycle of foliage is lovely ~
DeleteLove comfy lounge-y clothes and tiny pony tails.
ReplyDeleteIt's the life :)
