Quicksand
What, this picture looks posed? Not at all. I regularly lounge around on the cold, hard patio. (By the way, in these shots my hair is damp, not utterly disgusting. Score one for baking soda.)
I seem to have misplaced my mojo (as evidenced by what I'm wearing). Maybe it's a good thing that my dad asked me to come with him to Ikea tomorrow, although the prospect is onerous. If I go too long without leaving the house, I start sinking into the doldrums. Technically I have left the house this week, but driving my sister around is not quite the same as an outing. Granted, running errands at Ikea is not a proper outing either. Also, I'm still fretting over an upset with X from Saturday, and right this very minute my dog is whining incessantly for no discernable reason. Argh!

Ikea has randomly weird stuff that can be fun to look at. Like ice cube trays you never knew you needed. Perhaps it is an outing you ought to create a look for to pull you out of said doldrums.
ReplyDeleteWhat does one wear to an Ikea?
Karen is wise! What *does* one wear to an Ikea? Enquiring minds want to know, and you are our style guru!
DeleteAlso, in case of doldrum emergency, I just found this while looking for the link I wanted to put in my other comment:

TURTLE BALLERINA! (I have a weakness for plush things)
That is so true, Karen. Unexpected events prevented the Ikea excursion, but we're going to undertake it tomorrow. Which means I'll have to figure out a look for Ikea!
DeleteThat turtle ballerina is frikkin adorable.
Ah! I love Ikea! We live about an hour and a half away from one so it's always a big event when we go. Have a ton of fun!
ReplyDeleteI like looking at all the products, but I HATE the checkout and whatnot.
