Marching Forward

slouchy blue shrug, lacy white tank top, green floral dress

The weather is still gloriously chilly and wet, so although this outfit worked fine indoors, taking pictures was cold. Especially when I shed my shrug:

Springtime is about to officially start, and it seems like the garden realizes that:

complex yellow flower in the rain complex yellow flower in the rain

Today my friend Ruth took me to Actual Cafe for brunch. I ate my egg sandwich very ungracefully. It was pretty great.

  1. That shrug looks so comfy! And cuddly! Also, does it actually get cold in the Bay area :p

    1. Hahaha well, I guess it depends on your definition of "cold" =P

  2. The white camisole looks really pretty over that dress!

Autumn is slowly creeping in here, but it's still pretty hot and humid most of the time...time for some nice cool, dank dungeon crawling!

    1. Thank you! I forgot that you have switched seasons--that is always so weird to me. WHAT ARE HEMISPHERES

    2. The seasons are caused by the Earth's tilted axis. As our planet orbits the sun, one hemisphere will be receiving more direct sunlight than the other, and that hemisphere will be experiencing summer. So that's why if it is summer in the Northern hemisphere (and our hemisphere is pointed towards the sun), then it will be winter in the Southern Hemisphere (theirs is pointed away from the sun). I hope this helped! I love Astronomy class!

    3. Which is why that song, 'Do They Know It's Christmas' by Band Aid is doubly stupid. (It's the 80s song about no snow in Africa during Christmas.)

    4. Haha, Danielle, I actually do know that, but it's just kinda mind-boggling. And yes, Karen, that song is stupid.

    6. No need to feel derpy! You explained it very well!

  3. I love everything about your white camisole. The jonquils are particularly lovely too.

    1. Thank you! I never remember their name so I think of them as "fancy daffodils", haha =P

    2. Actually as I look at the picture a second time, I think you had it right the first time. That's a daffodil. (They all belong to the Narcissus family) Jonquils usually have double or triple blooms on a single stem.

    3. You definitely know better than I. I'm an admirer of gardens, but I don't know anything about the plants themselves.

It's lovely to hear from you!
