Sensibilities
My mom calls this oversize shrug "the garment", because it's so floppy and odd. Most clothes are either comfy OR impractical, not both! The resurgence of capelets notwithstanding...
Presumably, this jacket is supposed to be warm--the material is "soft and cosy 100% organic cotton brushed fleece"--but it has three-quarter-length sleeves. To which I say, "???" At least it's super pretty (and on sale, FYI).
Today's silhouette: Lina Lamont from Singin' in the Rain mixed with Avril Lavigne circa "Here's To Never Growing Up":
Naturally the background of that collage is an embroidery sample archived by Boston Public Library (Flickr).

The garment looks wonderfully snugly and easy to make. Is this one of your creations? I'd like to see more of it. It's very fetching on you. There's something vaguely Highland-romantic about the piece that I like.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It is ultimately snuggly! I didn't make this, but I think it'd be easy to replicate. Hmm, future project. . .
DeleteDo eeeeet!
DeleteThat looks exactly like the sort of garment you need on an adventure. Snuggly cape? Covered. Emergency parachute? Sorted. Aura of stylish mystique? Done. Something to smother the paladin with when he just won't be quiet?
ReplyDelete...what?
:-D
HAHAH YES!

DeleteI'm always so undecided about cape-like things. But this looks great on you. Personally, I would probably get caught in it, but you seem far more graceful than me!
ReplyDeleteCarefully-posed pictures ;P Thank you!
DeleteYou look so gorgeous and happy in the first picture, I just love it! Also, "the garment" looks fabulous and cozy. :)

Thank you! That's what red lipstick does to a person!
