Seagull Dreams
I never regret browsing Etsy. Today's find is charming boutique Kamomeya, a curated shop that specializes in vintage Japanese dresses. The name means "shop (ya) of the seagull (kamome)", and owner Jules Atelier chose it "because the seagull is a very iconic bird in a country surrounded by the sea like Japan." She describes how her dresses fly across oceans from seller to recipient, and goes on to reference her own multinational life. Clearly, this is a woman who understands the importance of symbolism--of poetry. Every listing features a carefully styled ensemble and a sweet, melancholic, downcast gaze. I find these combinations remarkably pretty.

Holy moly, these dresses are amazing! I'm particularly dying over that yellow one. Too pretty!
