As They Say In The Song
The classic holiday movie White Christmas contains many fashionable moments. But my favorite by far is when Rosemary Clooney's heartbroken character sings "Love, You Didn't Do Right By Me" in the Carousel Club, with a bunch of black-clad men as her props. Look at the neckline on that gown! Her glittery gloves! Her flawless hair! I love it.
Quick note: as much as I like White Christmas, I disagree with its political message(s).

What is the political message? I haven't seen the film.
ReplyDeleteWhite Christmas doesn't have an overt political agenda, but it's a product of its time. That means racism, misogyny, etc. It's also very pro-military, which I am not.
