Vintage Values

Nifty Thrifty Online Vintage Shopping

I clumsily assembled these pictures in order to give y'all a sense of the selection at Nifty Thrifty, an online vintage retailer. You have to make an account before you can browse the merchandise, which is probably supposed to confer some sense of exclusivity. I think that was a poor choice on their part, because I would have moved on quickly if I didn't have ethical window-shopping to continue. Anyway, my interest was sufficiently piqued. The website is fairly new--established in 2012--so the interface isn't perfect, and they've made some organizational choices that I find inexplicable. For instance, sold-out items take up more than half the space in their curated collections. That said, I really like Nifty Thrifty's ethical modus operandi. Thrift shopping forever!

Additional notes: 1) I found Nifty Thrifty via Flashes of Style. 2) All of the items in this post have been sold, but most were priced around $35.

    1. If you just want to ~follow4follow~, you must not actually enjoy my blog, no? I'm not deleting your comment because you said something relevant to my post, unlike most of your kind, but I really don't appreciate being borderline spammed.

  3. I agree that Nifty Thrift's concept is brilliant, but I question their pricing on many items. I thought about using their model myself, but ultimately decided I'd rather stick to just vintage for now. - Leah, wisestyle.wordpress.com

    1. Hmm, that's something I didn't properly consider. My thinking was, "Better prices than ModCloth!" Which is my bar for trendy e-tailers, I guess. But depending on the condition of the item. . . I dunno. I'm not very knowledgeable about vintage, since my IRL thrift-shopping experience has always been haphazard. I've ended up with some older pieces, but it just kinda happened, you know?
